Air fryer basket coating started peeling after 8 months

The nonstick coating on my basket started flaking off last Tuesday. Little black bits all over my fries. Do I need to trash the whole thing or can I buy a replacement basket somewhere?

Got a buddy who had the same thing happen with his Philips model. @sullivan.john is spot on, some brands sell just the basket separate. My friend found one on Amazon for thirty bucks and his machine was good as new.

Knew a girl at work who had this happen with her Cuisinart. She was about to toss it and buy a new one but her roommate dug around online and found a replacement basket for like twenty five bucks. Thing arrived in two days and she said it fit perfectly even looked a little better than the original. She’s been using it for six months now no issues. Saved her a ton of money for sure.

Check if your air fryer has a replaceable insert before buying a whole new one.
