I used to think the 'One Piece' anime was way too slow to get into
I tried watching it like two years ago and gave up after the Arlong Park arc because the pacing felt so dragged out, man. What changed my mind was last month when my friend in Seattle told me to just switch to 'One Pace', which is that fan edit that cuts out all the filler. I started it over from the beginning and got through the Alabasta saga in a week, it was a total game changer. The story actually moves now and you can see why people love the characters so much. I'm up to the Water 7 part and it's honestly some of the best stuff I've seen. Has anyone else tried watching a series a different way that made you like it way more?

Switched to the manga after hitting the same wall with the anime's pacing. Could not believe how much faster and tighter the story felt just reading it. The anime adds so much padding that it kills the momentum, but the original panels have this perfect flow. Got through hundreds of chapters in no time and finally understood the hype. It completely saved the series for me.
