Question about the 'One Piece' pacing debate

Everyone says the anime's slow pacing is a deal breaker and you should just read the manga. I made the choice to stick with the anime anyway, and I'm glad I did. The voice acting, the music, and seeing the big moments animated, like the 'I want to live' scene, hit way harder for me. I've been watching weekly for about two years now and the slower parts don't bother me as much as people say. It lets the emotional beats breathe. Has anyone else stuck with the anime and found it more rewarding than the common advice suggests?

My stubbornness is the real super power here... I stuck with the anime too, even through the infamous Dressrosa arc where they stretched a single minute into a whole episode. Watching Luffy punch that Celestial Dragon in Sabaody just felt different with the sound effects and the music swelling up. The slower pace made the quiet moment after Ace's death really sink in. Guess I'm just too invested to switch now.

Honestly, is it that big a deal?
