Warning: I thought the 'ask anything' rule was just talk until a guy asked about his weird basement smell

I figured people would just ask normal stuff, but someone posted about a rotten egg smell and it turned out to be a serious gas leak. The fire department had to come out. Has anyone else had a simple question here uncover something major?

Oh man, @jennifere18, I felt that same fear last year. What finally helped me was just talking to one friend I really trust about it. Getting it out in the open made it feel way less scary and huge. Have you found someone you can tell about it yet?

Totally agree that talking helps. Read something once about how fears get smaller when you say them out loud, like they lose their power. It's like turning on a light in a dark room, you know? The thing in the corner is just a coat, not a monster. Hope you find that one person you can tell.
