Spent 6 hours trying to get a logo transparent background right in MS Paint like a dummy

I was making a quick logo for my buddy's food truck and thought I could just use the magic select tool to delete the white background. Nope. Ended up with jagged edges everywhere and wasted half my Sunday. Finally gave up and used a free online tool that did it in 30 seconds. Has anyone else been stubborn about using the wrong program for a logo fix?

Man, I read somewhere that MS Paint has actually been updated a bit but it still can't touch proper transparency tools. That magic select is tricky, half the time it grabs shadows or tiny pixels you don't want. For a food truck logo, the edges being smooth matters a lot, you don't want it looking like a jagged sticker. I heard a guy say if you save as PNG with Paint, it keeps transparency but the selection process is still a mess. That free online tool thing is honestly the way to go, no shame in using the right tool for a quick job. Next time, skip the headache and just go straight to something like remove.bg or similar.

Last time I tried magic select on a photo of my cat, it turned him into a furry jagged blob with three ears and a floating tail... so yeah, trust issues with that thing. That food truck logo would end up looking like it was cut out with safety scissors in kindergarten. Honestly, using remove.bg feels like cheating but who cares when the alternative is wrestling with Microsoft's half-baked tools for an hour. I swear half the people defending MS Paint have never tried to actually finish a real project with it. It's the digital equivalent of showing up to a car race with a tricycle and acting surprised when you lose.
