That $15 logo checkup I ignored for months finally bit me

I kept putting off fixing my bakery's logo after a friend said it looked like a cracked egg. Finally ran it through a readability test last week and it scored a 42 out of 100 on clarity at small sizes. Ended up losing a local catering contract because the owner squinted at my business card and laughed. Has anyone else had a client mock your logo before you fixed it?

Wouldn't this just be a normal part of running a business? I mean every logo looks weird up close or in bad lighting, and most people don't even look at business cards that hard.

Totally feel you on this, @christophermurray. It's easy to get caught up in how a logo looks in every possible scenario, but honestly most people just glance at a card and toss it in a drawer. You're right that small things like lighting conditions are just part of the game. Sometimes we overthink design stuff because we stare at it too long, but the average person isn't zooming in on the edges. Solid point, man.
