Warning: wasted $75 on a logo design gig from Fiverr

Hired someone with 5-star reviews for a new logo. They sent me a clipart of a soccer ball with my company name typed in Comic Sans. Had to pay another designer $200 to fix it. Anyone else get burned by cheap logo services?

Did you ask to see their portfolio before hiring? I had good luck going with designers who showed past work that looked clean and simple, not just ranked by stars alone. For my rebrand, I searched for "minimalist logo" and found a guy who charged $50 but sent unlimited revisions. He nailed it after three rounds of tweaks. What kind of design style are you going for now after that mess?
