Had to choose between a Miller and a Lincoln welder for my first rig back in 2008
I went with the Miller because the old timer I was working under swore by them, and that machine is still running strong today. Anybody else stick with a brand just because your mentor used it?

Did you ever have trouble with the Lincoln breaking down on you? I see most guys stick with what they learned on, but I've had nothing but problems with the Millers I've used. My old boss ran Lincolns for thirty years without a single major repair.

Lincoln's been bulletproof for me, honestly. Never had a breakdown in five years.

Friend of mine had a Lincoln toss a rod at 90k miles, never trusted them since.
