Has anyone else bought kitchen gear that just ended up being useless for saving money?

Oh man, what was the deal with those tiny containers? I bought a whole set of those "portion control" ones and I couldn't even fit a decent chicken breast in there. They just live in a cupboard now, totally useless.

Ugh, tell me about it... I fell for a fancy avocado slicer once. It had this little pitter and everything. Used it exactly twice before I realized a knife and a spoon work way better and take up zero drawer space. Total waste of ten bucks. Now it just mocks me from the back of the utensil drawer. Those single-use gadgets are such a trap.
