I picked a flat roof for my shed and everyone said it would leak
The choice was a sloped roof or a flat one for my backyard shed build. I went flat for the modern look, even though my dad said 'you'll have a pond up there in a year'. I used a single-ply membrane and a 1% fall for drainage. It's been through two Michigan winters now with zero issues. Anyone else get pushback for going against the usual way of doing things?

Honestly, is a shed roof that big of a deal? It's not like you're putting a flat roof on your actual house. People act like it's a major engineering project. If you did the work right and it drains, who cares. The old way isn't the only way that works.
