A place with sapphire blue trim sold above list price, so I quit my all-beige habit. How do you pick standout details for a quick sale?

Can't believe that blue trim worked.

That specific slate blue is the key. It has enough gray in it to not feel too bright against the white. Saw it used on kitchen cabinets with dark wood floors last month and it looked amazing. The contrast is perfect.

Right? That slate blue is such a winner. I saw a house with it on the front door and window frames, and it just popped against the brick. It's those little hits of color that make a place feel special without being weird. Makes the whole house look more expensive, like someone actually thought about it.
