I used to think collecting every issue of a run was the only way to be a real fan
My buddy in Milwaukee said he just reads the stories he likes on Marvel Unlimited and it clicked that I was gatekeeping myself. Anyone else get too caught up in the 'collector' mindset and miss just enjoying the comics?

Yeah, @skylershah's shop owner gets it... I was stressing over back issues when I could just be reading the good stuff online.

Wait, the shop owner told @skylershah that last week? That's wild because my local shop guy said the exact same thing to me yesterday. It's like they all got the same memo or something. I was in there looking for a specific old issue and he just waved me off. He said most of the good stories are online now anyway. It feels weird to hear it from multiple shop owners, like they're giving up on selling back issues.
