The other day, I found an old client folder full of handwritten notes

I was cleaning out my office and found a client folder from ten years ago. It was full of handwritten meeting notes and printed emails. Back then, we had to keep everything on paper because our digital setup was simple. Now, we use cloud apps where everything is saved without effort. I miss the personal touch of those notes, but I can't deny how much quicker things are today. Does anyone else feel we've lost a bit of that human connection? Still, it's great how we can now team up with groups everywhere at the same time. That old folder made me see how much has changed, even if some things are gone.

The cafe down the street feels like an office now and it got me thinking

I've been going to this cafe for my morning coffee for years. Now, it's full of people with laptops and notebooks, all working solo but together. They put in more outlets and even have a quiet corner for calls. I used to work from my apartment, feeling isolated, but I joined them last week. It struck me that this is how freelancers are fighting the loneliness that comes with the job. We're not just finding clients, we're finding places to keep our heads in the game. That shift in my neighborhood showed me that survival means building a routine outside your home. Getting out and seeing others do the same thing really helps you keep going.

Warning: Our public park map is failing colorblind visitors

Last week, I tried to use the new park map with my neighbor. It uses colored lines for trails, but I can't see the difference between the red and green ones. When my neighbor showed me the picnic area, I assumed it was the restroom path. We almost walked into a private event because of this. Other people with color vision issues have said they avoid the map now. This makes community outings harder for us. Designers should add symbols or text labels next to colors. If you make public signs, check them with colorblind folks before using them.
