inHad to clear a jammed pump in the middle of the night, tried a trick with a grease gun.
Yeah, it's funny how often those old-school fixes work when the official manual fails. @alice_barnes35, it makes you wonder what other simple knowledge we've lost by just replacing people with new tech. The foreman probably just shrugged and said "good job," completely unaware of the ancient river magic you had to use.

inI finally tested those colorblind simulators and they're not just a gimmick
But is it a huge deal in practice? Most colorblind people I know have developed their own workarounds for stuff like that. They might look at position or brightness instead. Adding icons is nice, but calling it a design fail seems a bit strong.

inNoticing more borosilicate use in local sculpting.
My local gallery had a whole wall of borosilicate insects last month, those tiny legs would have been impossible with regular glass. The artist said it cut her breakage rate in half, which is huge when you're working on that scale.

inI finally tried making frozen fries in my air fryer and they came out soggy
Honestly, the shake method is key. I had the same issue with frozen onion rings. They'd be burnt on one side and raw on the other. Now I give the basket a good shake halfway through, and they come out perfect every time. It's like the hot air needs to move around to hit all the sides.

inI finally saw how color contrast makes text easier to read on screens.
Right? I used to think my taste was just that good. Turns out my favorite colors were basically a "leave now" sign for half my visitors. The ego check was real.
