Why does nobody talk about the cheap infrared thermometer?

I grabbed a $40 one from the truck stop to check my 6.7 Cummins temps after a regen, and it showed a 40 degree difference between banks that my scan tool missed. Found a cracked up-pipe gasket I would have never caught otherwise. What's the one cheap tool you guys swear by that actually finds problems?

I put my case study text in a sidebar for one project and kept it in a block for another

For my new portfolio site, I tried two layouts. The first project had the project story in a big block under the images. The second one had a skinny sidebar with the text next to the visuals. The sidebar version got way more clicks on the 'view project' button, like 40% more according to my site stats. I think people could read and look at the pictures at the same time, so they stuck around longer. Has anyone else tested something like this and seen different results?

I thought hiring a sales coach was a waste of money for our agency.

We were a team of four in Austin and I figured we could just figure out sales ourselves. Then we hired a coach named Sarah for three months, and our close rate went from 15% to 28% by focusing on better discovery questions. Has anyone else tried a coach and seen a real jump in numbers?
