How much would shutters or some kind of barrier actually help in a 50 mph gust? I saw a video where a shutter just ripped clean off the brick, so maybe the real fix is just moving the important gear away from windows when storms are coming. It's a pain, but cheaper than new glass and lost work.

Blue-green lights? That's the fix they came up with? I'm not even colorblind and that sounds confusing. Did they not run this by a single person with common sense? You'd think someone would point out that's a terrible idea before spending all that money.
