Coffee shop in Portland has the worst sign I've ever seen

I was chatting with the barista about why the font is so tiny on their new menu board and she said, well the owner designed it himself. Has anyone else found that one person with zero design sense can ruin an entire brand look overnight?

Totally feel this - my handwriting alone has ruined several restaurant specials boards, though nobody can really blame the owner for wanting to save a few bucks.

Wait - someone actually paid you to hand-letter a sign and you let anyone else write on it? @barbara_moore73 I'm with you on this one, that's a bold move letting a friend with messy handwriting touch your paid work.
