My aunt told me to plan my week around energy, not time, and it sounded silly
She said to block out mornings for hard tasks after I tracked my focus for a week and saw I was useless after 2 PM. Now I get my real work done before lunch and save emails for later, but my calendar looks like a toddler's art project. Does anyone else have a weird tip that actually worked?

My friend's therapist told her to plan her week by mood, not just energy. She puts creative meetings on high-energy days and admin on low ones. It sounds out there, but after trying it, my calendar has way less dread blocks.

Wait, isn't mood just another word for energy here? I get the idea, but my creative mood is always tied to high energy. The real trick for me was splitting tasks by focus needed, not just feeling. Like, I save deep writing for mornings when my mind is clear, even if my energy is low, and leave easy emails for when I'm tired but restless.
