The new city hall in Springfield had these raised floor dots I'd never seen before...

Ever notice how many public signs are just visual noise? We plaster walls with text nobody reads, but a simple textured strip on the floor actually works. It's like we design for being looked at, not for being used. That missing layer of physical feedback makes so much stuff harder to navigate than it needs to be.

I kept using the same contract for every client for years, until a project in Austin went sideways.

My old contract was basically a napkin with "build website, get paid" written on it. I learned the hard way after a client thought "revisions" meant a full second website for free. Now my scope document is longer than some books I've read.

I wasted $80 on a 'professional' knife sharpener from a home shopping channel. It's junk.

Honestly, you might have just gotten a bad unit or used it wrong. Those gadgets can work fine for basic home use if you follow the instructions to the letter. It's not meant for a chef's knife, just keeping a decent edge on your everyday stuff. For eighty bucks you were paying for the convenience, not a pro result. Sometimes the problem is expecting too much from a simple tool.

Wait, a nursery guy said no wood chips?
