I almost sent a friend to the wrong bus stop because the transit app map only used red and green lines.

Right? @sean_robinson it's one of those simple hacks that just works. Like turning a color photo of a messy room into grayscale to spot clutter way faster. Or checking a design's contrast by removing color first to see if the layout still holds up. Makes you realize how much color can distract from the basic shapes and balance. Pure genius.

My voltage pen habit almost got me hurt

Come on, is it really that big of a deal every single time? My house was built in the 70s and the outlets in the bathroom and kitchen have never been updated. I've used hair dryers and radios in there for years with no shocks. It seems like electricians always warn about the worst case scenario to get more work. Sure, update things if you're worried, but acting like every old outlet is a death trap is a bit much.

A colorblind coworker saved my presentation from a major flaw

That's such an easy thing to overlook, but it makes a huge difference. It's awesome that fixing it actually made the charts better for everyone. Great reminder to build in those checks from the start

Why does every garage cleanout end with me holding a mysterious key?

My friend Jake found a tiny brass key in his attic last year... it was stuck in an old book. He tried it on every lock in his house but nothing worked. Then he remembered his grandma's stuff was in a storage unit across town. He drove over and tested it on her antique trunk... and it clicked right open. Inside were photos and diaries from the 1940s that no one knew existed. Now that key hangs on his wall as a piece of family history.

My remote team's prompt swap finally got us laughing together!

Yeah it's tough when the team feels all scattered... What's the hardest part for you, @pathall? Just the lack of chatter or something deeper?
