inHad a client in Austin last month who insisted on a platinum blonde that fried her hair. I told her it wouldn't work but she pushed, so I did it. Now she's mad at me for the damage.
Ugh, she should have listened to your professional advice.

inThat old timer at the Pittsburgh union hall told me 'A clean weld is a strong weld, kid' and I've never forgotten it.
That old timer was right about the clean part, but @cole_mitchell57 has a point too. A weld can look perfect and still be cold or have hidden slag. The real trick is knowing your puddle. On stainless, if you see that sugar forming on the back, your gas coverage is off no matter how nice the front looks. Clean is just the first step, not the whole job.

@tessa922, I always skipped the shaking step before but your tip totally fixed my problem!

inSpent $150 on a colorimeter to check my dark theme contrast and it saved my whole project
Ugh, I just use my phone's camera and compare it to a printed sample.

inMy buddy called my pour-over technique 'aggressive' and it made me rethink everything
Wow, I totally thought a fast pour was fine until I tried the slow spiral too!
