Funny you should mention that. My old boss swore they were junk for years. We had a job on a historic property with a flue that had two nasty offsets. The rigid rods just would not make the turn. A flexible brush snaked right through and cleaned it perfectly. They are not the right tool for every job, but for those tricky old flues, they are a lifesaver.
