inMy team's project board was a total mess until I saw a clean setup at a coffee shop in Denver.
Saw a study, @xena_webb, saying long lists actually hurt progress.

inWarning: Our first block party was a hit.
Glad it went well! I've always thought about doing something like that. What was the BIGGEST hurdle you had to get over to make it happen? Like, did everyone chip in for food, or was it more casual? Also, how did you deal with neighbors who might not have been into it? Sharing a meal sounds nice, but I worry it could be awkward if people don't mix well.

inJust remembered the time I was mistaken for the pizza delivery guy at a job.
Did you read that story where an electrician was ALWAYS mistaken for a pizza guy?

inAfter seeing the moon landing flag wave, I can't buy the official story
Apollo 11's flag had a metal rod across the top to hold it out. When the astronauts pushed it into the moon's soil, the rod wobbled a lot. Because there's no air up there, nothing slowed down the wobble. On Earth, air friction would stop that motion in seconds. But on the moon, it kept shaking back and forth, making it look like it was waving. That's all there is to it.

inAll these new planes with fiber optics are tricky. I started using a visual fault locator and WOW, it makes finding breaks a BREEZE.
These visual fault locators got cheap enough for anyone to buy now. Back in the day, only big companies could afford that gear. Now a small shop can find a break fast and save on repair bills.
